our winter playground

Winter is difficult for your short attention. We may not have any snow on the ground yet, but it is much too cold for momma to be outside, and therefore you are suffering the consequences. I never realize how small our house is, until we are trapped in it for a whole weekend. Every toy seems to get old, and every movie has been watched a million times. We go stir crazy to say the least. So we spent an afternoon at Ikea to get us out of the house. Have I mentioned that you climb everything? Ikea was like the dream playground after being locked inside for so long. I window shopped and day dreamed about all the makeovers I wanted to do in our house, and you went wild running with your new found freedom. You climbed on absolutely every chair in sight, every bed at a reasonable height, and every entertainment center in reach. Your dad got exhausted just watching you, but I on the other hand, loved that you were enjoying the experience as much as me. You cried as we left. It reminded me so much of dragging away from the playground or the pool over summer. For now, this will be our new playground, until we are kicked out of course, for abuse of furniture.
