You probably don’t comprehend all that you’ve been through today,
And perhaps, it’s better that way
So many people were thinking of you
Watching and waiting
Hoping and praying
Even those that don’t know you well
Saw your sweet smiling face, read your story, wished you health
Prayed for peace for your parents and removal of fear
Knew that God would bless you, protect you
There is still a long road ahead, and not just the road to health
Life’s journey has just begun, little man
May this experience give you more than just physical strength
May it also give you lifelong courage to face all of life’s obstacles
For you have braved this one like a soldier in battle, and you have won
As for us, your cheering section, we are happy that today went so well
You are in our thoughts, and will be, until you are fully healed
You have so much love surrounding you
